What is Reiki?
This is an ancient Japanese healing technique that involves me, the practitioner rebalancing ‘energy flow’ through your body. It has been found to produce profound results all through gentle touch, positive mindset and energy transfer. Through the energy transfer the body is able to restore balance across all the systems of mind, body and spirit with the aim of creating harmony.
Most clients find this a very relaxing treatment, that can help with mood, stress and anxiety. The energy transfer may make you feel peaceful, relaxed and lighter, allowing you to be in touch with your inner self and reflect on this awareness. The practice also helps you to clear your mind and improve focus. The energy transfer enabling the mind to focus on current events, not hold onto past mistakes or focus on anxieties about the future. This helps in accepting how life is unfolding and promotes positive responses to situations, people and circumstances.
Clients often feel extremely relaxed after a Reiki session which can promote improved sleep. Indeed you can sometimes feel so relaxed you fall asleep - and that is ok!
As you can see from the illustrative picture, you remain fully clothed, with my hands a few inches away from the body. There is light gentle touch around the head and feet area.
